Meadowlands
I’m going to give you a handful of wildflowers so each petal that falls will remind you that the earth breathes, and the moon rises.
Carolyn Riker
In any spot where spruce and aspen have given up their hold on the land, meadows emerge. Often just a bit of scruffy meadowland will yield a glorious riot of changing colour in June and July. Soon even the ditches by the side of the roads are calling to me to get out my Helios vintage lens or a macro lens and start foraging for images. Scrambling into the ditch is manageable but scrambling out again is another matter. It’s deep and dangerous work but somebody has to do it!
