People
One of the joys of travel is seeing how different people live and how they spend their time. In South-east Asia, life is frequently lived on the streets and the people are very accommodating regarding having their photograph taken. I point to my camera and to them and they smile and demurely wait until I have the image. I always show it to them on the LED screen, partly because I want to be polite and also as a way of saying ‘thank you’ but also because I enjoy the look of pleasure on their face when they see themselves.
